Title: Senior Business Analyst with Banking Domain Experience (only W2 Position -- No C2C Accepted)

Description: STG is a SEI CMMi Level 5 company with several Fortune 500 and State Government clients. STG has an opening for Senior Business Analyst with Banking Domain Experience.

Please note that this project assignment is with our own direct clients. We do not go through any vendors. STG only does business with direct end clients. This is expected to be a long-term position. STG will provide immigration and permanent residency sponsorship assistance to those candidates who need it.

Position Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Business Analyst with a strong background in the banking domain. The ideal candidate will have 8--10 years of overall experience, including 5--8 years of hands-on experience in banking and financial services. The candidate should be adept at bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions, with a solid understanding of IT terminologies and a working knowledge of SQL being a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements.

Translate business needs into functional and non-functional requirements for IT teams.

Conduct gap analysis, impact analysis, and feasibility studies.

Work closely with development, QA, and project management teams to ensure successful delivery.

Create detailed business requirement documents (BRDs), functional specifications, and user stories.

Facilitate workshops, meetings, and presentations with business and technical teams.

Support UAT planning, execution, and defect tracking.

Analyze and interpret data to support business decisions and identify improvement opportunities.

Maintain a strong understanding of banking products, services, and regulatory requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

8--10 years of experience as a Business Analyst.

5--8 years of experience in the banking domain (retail, corporate, digital banking, or payments).

Strong understanding of business processes and regulatory frameworks in banking.

Familiarity with IT concepts such as APIs, databases, system architecture, and SDLC.

Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Proficiency in tools like JIRA, Confluence, MS Office Suite, and Visio.

Nice to Have:

Working knowledge of SQL for data querying and validation.

Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Exposure to data analytics or reporting tools.

Education:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in computer science, engineering or related disciplines
