Robert Half is partnering with a well-established private investment office in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan to find a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk. This hybrid role blends remote flexibility with in-office collaboration, offering a great opportunity for someone looking to get their foot in the door and grow within a supportive, precision-driven team. The Accounting Clerk will provide essential support to the accounting department, handling a variety of tasks such as processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and ensuring accurate recordkeeping.

Responsibilities:

Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments either electronically or by check.

Prepare and complete deposit slips, make bank deposits, and maintain accurate documentation.

Review invoices for proper authorization and supporting documentation before processing payments.

Perform monthly reconciliations for bank and brokerage accounts to ensure accuracy.

Provide administrative support to the accounting team, including filing, copying, and maintaining electronic records.

Conduct vendor research and resolve discrepancies as needed.

Assist with ad-hoc financial analysis and project-based tasks.

Print checks, obtain necessary signatures, and handle mailing processes.

Uphold high standards of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks.

Requirements - Minimum of 2 years of experience in an office environment with accounting exposure.

Familiarity with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Teams, and Adobe Acrobat.

Basic understanding of accounting software; experience with Sage Intacct is a plus.

Strong data entry skills and ability to maintain detailed records.

Comfortable handling a high volume of work while meeting deadlines.

Effective verbal and written communication skills.

High school diploma or equivalent required.
