Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team. In this long-term contract position, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This opportunity is ideal for professionals with expertise in general ledger management, month-end processes, and account reconciliation.

Responsibilities:

Manage month-end close procedures, including preparing and reviewing journal entries to ensure accuracy.

Oversee general ledger activities, maintaining up-to-date and accurate financial records.

Perform account reconciliations, resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.

Apply accrual accounting principles to ensure compliance with GAAP standards.

Review and analyze financial data to identify and address inconsistencies or errors.

Prepare and post month-end journal entries to support accurate financial reporting.

Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of month-end close activities.

Maintain detailed documentation of accounting processes and procedures.

Assist in audits by providing necessary reports and reconciliations.

Develop and implement strategies to improve accounting processes and efficiency.

Requirements - Proven experience in month-end close procedures and journal entry preparation.

Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and financial reporting.

Proficiency in GAAP and accrual accounting principles.

Ability to perform detailed account reconciliations with a high degree of accuracy.

Excellent analytical skills to identify and resolve financial discrepancies.

Strong organizational and time management skills for meeting deadlines.

Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
