VP/Director of Finance

Description

We are looking for an experienced VP/Director of Finance to lead financial operations and drive strategic planning within our organization. Based in N. Durham, NC, this role requires a proactive leader with a strong background in financial management and reporting. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis to support business objectives and ensure financial health.

Responsibilities:

Oversee the preparation and execution of annual budgets to align with organizational goals.

Manage the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial statements.

Develop and refine budgeting processes to enhance financial planning and accountability.

Provide detailed financial reporting and analysis to support decision-making across departments.

Monitor and optimize cash flow forecasts to ensure adequate liquidity for operations and growth.

Collaborate with executive leadership to establish and implement financial strategies.

Lead initiatives to improve financial systems and processes for greater efficiency.

Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

Present financial insights and recommendations to stakeholders, including the board of directors.

Supervise and mentor the finance team to foster growth and high performance

Requirements - Proven experience in a senior financial leadership role, such as VP or Director of Finance.

Expertise in preparing and managing annual budgets and forecasts.

Strong proficiency in month-end close procedures and financial reporting.

In-depth understanding of budgeting processes and cash flow management.

Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.

Excellent communication and leadership abilities to guide teams and influence stakeholders.

Advanced knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards.

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA or MBA preferred.
