Pay Range: $72,094.00 - $96,088.00
Manages back office support for the Trust function. Ensures supporting resources are functioning at optimal efficiency to support the growth of the Wealth Management Division and ensure a superior client experience. Reviews and recommends new methods and procedures to make daily operations more efficient. Acts as a the senior operations person (within Trust Operations) with regard to sign off on daily transactions and account changes.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or equivalent education and experience
3-5years' experience in trust operations
Background in trust administration helpful
3years supervisory experience
Skills and Abilities:
Basic accounting knowledge.
Strong organizational skills and detail orientated.
Team player & team leader skills.
Strong computer literacy to include Microsoft Office Suite and other proprietary industry software.
Understanding of Trust Accounting Systems.
Unique Job Characteristics and Requirements:
This position requires an understanding of the operations function, securities movement and controls unique to the trust industry. The successful candidate must also be a strategic thinker, able to support the growth of the Wealth Management Division.
Tasks Performed:
50% Directly manage the Trust Operations staff to ensure proper levels of staffing & interdepartmental cross training. Serve as mentor to staff and ensure proper training & individual development opportunities are maintained. Conduct monthly department meetings, establish department and individual goals and monitor progress. Process more complex transactions and conduct weekly Trust recordkeeping system vendor meeting.
30% Coordinate with WM Director of Fiduciary Services to provide support to the WM Trust, Retirement and Investment departments. Coordinate with WM Compliance Officer to ensure adherence to policies and procedures and the established internal control framework. Participate inDivisional projects in line with strategic planning goals and initiatives. Provides input/feedback to improve work efficiency.
15% Coordinate with the Information Technology Division toward resolution of unusual or complex technological problems including items relative to business continuity & vendor management. Coordinates Divisional training relative to systems & technology to ensure available technology is fully leveraged.
5% Completes other duties as assigned.
