Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Tax Accountant with strong proficiency in QuickBooks to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and filing tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and maintaining accurate financial records using QuickBooks.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and businesses.

Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts using QuickBooks.

Analyze financial data to ensure accuracy and compliance with tax laws.

Assist with tax planning and strategy development to minimize tax liabilities.

Respond to tax notices and assist with audits as needed.

Stay current with changes in tax laws and regulations.

Collaborate with internal departments and external clients to gather necessary documentation.

Generate financial reports and summaries for management review.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

CPA or Enrolled Agent (EA) certification preferred.

Minimum of 2--3 years of tax accounting experience.

Proficiency in QuickBooks (Online and/or Desktop) is required.

Strong understanding of federal and state tax codes and regulations.

Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with QuickBooks

Knowledge of payroll and sales tax compliance.

Familiarity with tax software such as Intuit Proconnect
