This position is responsible for location Financial Reporting, adherence to all GAAP, Howmet policies and procedures, and practicing risk management and SOX compliance for all aspects of controls. This position also provides financial leadership and data analysis for development of alternatives and solutions used in management decision making, as well as preparation of budgets and forecasting and corresponding financial accountability. In addition, this position is accountable for developing financial acumen in the location lead team as well as developing direct reports.
Although located in Niles, OH, this role will also have financial responsibility over Structuresâ?? Canton, Ohio, and Martinsville, Virginia operating locations. This role will report directly to the Ti-Mill Director of Operations with a dotted line to the Vice President of Finance.
Essential Job Functions:
Compliance
Full ownership of the P&L and Balance Sheet
Complying with Howmet and business unit financial reporting requirements
Ensuring completion of Howmetâ??s Sarbanes-Oxley requirements for internal controls
Act as an authority on GAAP related accounting matters for the site, including areas such as revenue recognition and cost accounting
Act as primary interface to external auditors with respect to site matters
Leadership
Supervising department employees
Developing Finance team members
Set goals and evaluate team members against the goals
Business Partnering
Identify key levers to drive business improvement and providing leadership to ensure implementation for business improvement opportunities
Determining in conjunction with the plant management, targeted goals for performance measures of quality, productivity, delivery, cycle time, inventory optimization and profitability
Coordinate and administer an adequate plan for the control of operations including profit planning and analysis, sales forecasts, expense budgets, cost standards, savings opportunities, and capital investing
Deploying business unit initiatives
Coordination of the capital appropriation process and post-project reviews
Forecast short- and long-range cash requirements and obligations as a basis for maintaining adequate funds
Keeping Sub-Segment controller informed of the siteâ??s performance and provide advice on all financial matters, including desirable operational adjustments

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/EQUIPMENT USED
The controller position requires frequent sitting in an office environment and occasional walking and standing in a manufacturing environment.
No PPE required for in office, however, employee is expected to observe all PPE requirements while out on the floor.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

BS or BA in Business Administration and/or Finance Accounting from an accredited institution.
10 years Finance experience (preferably in manufacturing environment)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
MBA, CMA and/or CPA
Plant Controller experience for a manufacturing facility with at least $150 million in annual revenues.
At least 2 yearâ??s supervisory experience with the ability to manage and develop Staff (Financial and Operational)
High proficiency in using MS Office software including Excel, experience with SAP, Hyperion, or similar systems, project management, multi-tasking and developing/executing data queries.
Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
Strong organizational skills in relation to managing multiple projects with tight deadlines in a high pressure/high intensity environment.
Strong cost accounting skills â?? Multi level Routing and Bill of material Cost Accounting Experience.
Ability to dig for details and work on challenging projects.
Ability to communicate complex financial information in an easy-to-understand manner to non-finance personnel.
Outstanding communication, leadership and teamwork skills
Experience in a job order/discrete manufacturing environment
