Summary of Position

A committed analytical or computational chemist at the tenure-track assistant professor rank with a research specialization to teach graduate and undergraduate chemistry lecture and laboratory courses and develop and sustain an externally funded research program involving undergraduate, MS students, and possibly Materials Ph.D. students.

The YSU programs in Chemistry and Biochemistry housed in the Department of Chemical and Biological Sciences is comprised of 10 full-time tenure track faculty, 3 lecturers, over 100 majors in its BS programs and an active MS program with 25 students. The department offers a rich, hands-on 'learning through research' experience for its students. As part of the College of STEM, the department also participates in the YSU Ph.D. program in Materials Science & Engineering.

Position Information

Plans, organizes, teaches, and provides feedback to promote and direct student success. Responds to students in a timely manner. Communicates with students, departments, and university officials via university provided tools and resources.
