Represent the Law School as the first point of contact with the general public. Open the Law School Communications Center punctually at 7:30 a.m. and close at 4:30 p.m. year-round. While manning the communications desk, answer incoming phone calls to the central phone number and route calls appropriately, providing telephone and in-person information. Welcome guests, directing visitors and supporting faculty, student, and staff events. Maintain continuous awareness of the time and location of Law School special events and programs in order to direct attendees. Develop and maintain effective working relationships with students, faculty, and staff. Present a cheerful, professional attitude to all Law School community members and the general public.Manage and maintain the Texas Law mail room, ensuring that mail is accurately filed and delivered in a timely manner. Maintain strong awareness of personnel roster and changes including appointments, telephone numbers, and office locations in order to route mail and parcels properly, assign and label mailboxes, and keep mailboxes up to date. Distribute incoming mail to faculty, staff, and student organization mailboxes in the Communications Center. Make special mailing arrangements for personnel on leave or serving outside Law School.Maintain the cleanliness of classrooms and common areas. Collaborate with the Operations Team to submit and track work orders.Serve as back up to Operations Team as needed.Provide support for shared team emails as directed, and provide administrative support for accounting, finance, HR, and operational tasks. Execute special projects as needed.
