Job Focus Area
The Contracts/Grants Reviewer 1/2/3 is responsible for professional work of a technical, varied, and extremely complex nature involving grants management (including programmatic and administrative analysis), specialized contract development/preparation, review, control, monitoring, and analysis and reporting relative to appropriations in the LDOE, Office of Operations.
Preferred Experience:
Knowledge and expertise in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) and Google Suite (Google Docs, Google Sheets, etc.)
Creating shopping carts and purchase orders in LaGov DTS (SAP)
Contract management and review

Minimum Qualifications
Three years of experience in contracts or grants management, procurement, financial management, or accounting; OR
Six years of full-time work experience in any field; OR
A bachelor's degree.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
Professional work of a technical, varied, and extremely complex nature involving grants management (including programmatic and administrative analysis)
Specialized contract development/preparation, review, control, monitoring, and analysis. T
Regular and ongoing communication with LDOE administrators, assistant superintendents, division directors, program managers, and financial staff as required for funding, allocation/and budget approval, implementation, and compliance.
Comprehensive knowledge of LDOE's administrative processes and timelines, BESE policy, state policy, and federal regulations.
Position-Specific Details:
Appointment Type: Probational, Promotional, or Job Appointment. The person hired for this position is expected to regularly report to the Baton Rouge office. Current permanent classified state employees may be required to accept a probationary appointment, if selected.
Career Progression: This position participates in a Career Progression Group. As part of a Career Progression Group, vacancies may be filled from this recruitment as a Contracts/Grants Reviewer 1/2/3 depending on the level of experience of the selected applicant.
Work Schedule: Work hours are Monday - Friday. Work hours will be determined.
Compensation: The salary offered will be determined based on qualifications and experience.

Hourly: $19.30 - $37.88
Monthly: $3,345 - $6,566
Annually: $40,144 - $78,790
