The Attorney Supervisor provides highly technical legal advice, assistance, and consultation to the Secretary, Deputy Secretary, Undersecretary, Director of Emergency Preparedness, and Assistant Secretary of OPH, Executive Counsel, General Counsel, and Deputy General Counsels. Incumbent will work extensively with the managerial and administrative staff of OPH. The ideal candidate must be familiar with aspects of the Agency's organization and structure, its program offices and associated programming and related services, especially the OPH offices, programs, services, and staff.
Minimum Qualifications
Possession of a current Louisiana license to practice law plus four years of experience as a practicing attorney.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
Incumbent serves the State and the Louisiana Department of Health (LOH) in a highly responsible, legal, consultative, administrative, and supervisory position within the Bureau of Legal Services.
Attorney Supervisor, on legal matters/issues/litigation relating to LOH Emergency Preparedness, as well as on legal matters/issues/litigation relating to the LOH Office of Public Health (OPH) for the following bureaus (1) Bureau of Engineering; (2) Bureau of Laboratory Services; (3) Bureau of EMS; (4) Bureau of Chronic Disease Prevention and Healthcare Access; and (5) Bureau of Community Preparedness.
