The Aviate & Pilot Strategy Team is currently seeking an individual who is passionate about essential communications and multi-channel marketing. You have the foundational and strategic understanding of integrated marketing and how the elements of a marketing plan work together for maximum impact. You will apply your project management, creative, relationship-building skills to support the Senior Manager of Pilot Strategy Marketing & Communications and Director of Aviate & Pilot Strategy.
As the Senior Specialist - Aviate Marketing & Communications, you will help develop, complete, and implement compelling, multichannel content for the Aviate audience, network, and internal customers. You are skilled in event coordination and can thrive in high-pressure situations. The Senior Specialist - Aviate Marketing and Communications will develop, lead, and implement communications, branding, marketing, public relations, and social media strategies in support of Aviate and other United-owned pilot pathway programs.
Support Aviate communications and marketing strategy and is passionate about growth, retention, and engagement with online communities through development, planning, and execution
Draftcopy and deploy communications between United/Aviate and the Aviate network
Lead Aviate-owned social media strategy through creation of content calendar, assets and copy,as well asonline engagement
Develop marketing materials and presentations to support the Aviate recruiting efforts
Support Aviate networkvia relationship management, maintenance of marketing toolkit, and proactive engagement opportunities
Work cross-functionally with Creative Services to maintain regular service related to our digital platforms (website, social media, network marketing toolkit), including website content updates, maintenance, and improvements
Stay informed and educated on the latest Aviate program updates, evolving industry behavior, and United specific guidelines
Evaluate current digital content gaps and opportunities to improve brand recognition of Aviate and communication lags
Collaborate with United marketing resources and associated groups/leadership within United to develop Aviate and pilot pathway programs marketing, initiatives, and materials
Aid in event coordination for internal and external Aviate informational, recruiting, and sponsored events
Think creatively, stay up to date on relevant trends in digital, social media, and email marketing
Maintain marketing and communications approval process that includes all vital partners, including but not limited to Aviate leadership, Marketing, Corporate Communications, Brand, and Ad & Social Media teams
Perform other tasks as assigned by the Senior Manager of Pilot Strategy Marketing & Communications and Director Aviate and Pilot Strategy
Qualifications
What's needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
Bachelor's degree in marketing or an equivalent, relevant field
3+ years' experience, of which at least 1 year is related to this role i.e., professional marketing and/or communications, social media marketing, content creation
Organization skills and multitasking abilities
Excellent presentation skills
Excellent verbal and written (AP style) communication skills
Proven track record executing multi-faceted marketing plans
Knowledge of Sales and Marketing processes
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):
Familiar with marketing automation, CRM, and analytics tools, such as Constant Contact, Qualtrics, Google Analytics, Instagram Professional Dashboard and Salesforce
Strong project management skills - experience collaborating with various stakeholders
Ability to excel under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage working through multiple projects simultaneously
Experience designing/creating marketing assets with Adobe or Canva products is a plus?
Knowledgeable of the U.S. business, social media, and aviation landscape

The base pay range for this role is $79,800.00 to $103,966.00.
The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
