Description
FHN Financial, a division of First Horizon Bank, is seeking independent and highly driven candidates for
the role of Senior Vice President to expand and develop our municipal securities investment banking
team. As a senior-level Public Finance Banker with FHN Financial, you will work with other peers and
junior level bankers, underwriters, and other internal stakeholders, as well as customers and clients to
conduct municipal securities business for state and local government issuers of tax-exempt and taxable
bonds. The successful candidate will have a record of accomplishment in generating annual revenue and
meeting annual revenue goals consistently over a number of consecutive years from new and existing
client relationships.
The Public Finance group is responsible for creating solutions for the complex financing needs of the
Firm's public sector clients and customers, which include state and local governments, K-12 and higher
education institutions, transportation agencies, healthcare organizations, stadium and convention center
authorities, and other public entities.
Public Finance provides deep exposure to the capital markets and senior level bankers will work closely
with all aspects of the FHN Financial's fixed income operations, including compliance, human resources,
operations, trading, underwriting, and sales for prospective and live transactions. As a Senior Vice
President, the candidate will be an integral member of the Public Finance Department, and importantly
refine and develop banking skills that will help the candidate meet expected revenue targets and
objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities
? Interact daily with Public Finance Banking and Municipal Underwriting teams to handle inquiries,
generate financial solutions for municipal clients and engage on client related issues.
? Work closely with senior-level colleagues to lead and/or manage day-to-day activities including
generating/creating marketing materials such as presentation decks, memos and RFP/RFQ
proposals and financial cashflow modeling, among other responsibilities.
? Responsible for timely submission of forms, documentation and disclosures required to ensure
the Firm is in good-standing with municipal issuers and regulatory agencies.
? Manage transaction execution process on mandates.
? Assemble and maintain transaction deal files ensuring banking, management and compliance
have reviewed and approved the files.
? Operate as part of a team to provide clients with a positive and professional investment banking
experience.
Skills and Specifications
? Operating knowledge of standard office equipment and required software applications to produce
correspondence, reports, electronic communication, spreadsheets, and databases.
? Use appropriate interpersonal styles to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with all
organizational levels.
? Keep all appropriate parties up-to-date on decisions, changes, and other relevant information.
Minimum Qualifications
? Bachelor's Degree; Master's or Graduate Degree (preferred)
? Finance Industry Experience: Minimum 5 years (preferred)
? Experience in Managing High-Level Client relationships and engagement in new business
development initiatives
? Ability to work well under pressure while engaged and managing multiple priorities and deadlines
? Detail oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
? FINRA Series 52, 63, 50 and SIE licenses or ability to obtain licensure within 6-months via selfstudy
and professional services study material provided by our team
? Advanced user of Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint and Word
? Ability to analyze and research municipal market and economic information
? Ability to present to groups and work in teams
? Travel is required

As a senior level executive with FHN Financial, you must possess a service-oriented demeanor with
superb verbal and written communication skills to clearly and professionally convey information. You must
be able to organize, manage, and track multiple detailed tasks and assignments with frequently changing
priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced work environment. Importantly, this position requires strategic
thinking, relationship building and management, sales expertise and ability to generate and meet revenue
objectives on a consistent basis.
