Job Title: Staff Accountant - Credit Card

Job Description

This position involves the daily review of credit card accounts, ensuring transactions are accurately recorded. It is crucial during financial month-end and year-end close, requiring preparation of journal entries and reconciliations for general ledger accounts.

Responsibilities

Review company's credit card accounts daily, ensuring proper transaction recording.

Assist customer service in resolving store transaction queries.

Prepare month-end journal entries and reconciliations for various general ledger accounts.

Check general ledger balances for all designated accounts, verify transaction validity, and communicate with other departments regarding account activity.

Verify validity of credit card transactions, obtain the proper support, and communicate with other departments regarding activity posted on the accounts.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in general ledger, journal entry, reconciliation, acquisitions, and data analysis.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance.

2+ years of relevant work experience.

Understanding of accounting procedures, concepts, and internal control processes.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $36.00/hr.
