Description We are looking for a dedicated Sales Assistant to join our team in Covina, California. In this contract position, you will play a key role in supporting sales and customer service operations within a nonprofit retail shop. This is a great opportunity for individuals eager to contribute to a meaningful cause while honing their retail and customer service skills.

Responsibilities:

Assist customers with inquiries and purchases, ensuring a positive shopping experience.

Handle cash transactions accurately and maintain records of sales activities.

Manage incoming donations and support the organizational processes for donation handling.

Perform data entry tasks to maintain accurate inventory and sales records.

Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and improve store performance.

Provide exceptional customer service and resolve issues with attention to detail.

Maintain a clean and organized retail space to enhance customer satisfaction.

Monitor inventory levels and communicate replenishment needs to the appropriate personnel.

Uphold the nonprofit organization's values and mission in all interactions with customers and donors. Requirements - Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred but not required.

Basic cash handling skills with attention to accuracy.

Familiarity with data entry processes and ability to use relevant software.

Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.

Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Experience with donation management is a plus.

Strong organizational skills to maintain inventory and store order.
