Responsibilities & Expectations: We are seeking an Entry-Level Machinist Assistant to join our team. As a team member for IPS, you will possess strong attention to detail and a customer-focused approach to assist in the repair of industrial AC/DC electric motors, generators, gearboxes, and related equipment, while supporting our culture of continuous improvement. Responsibilities may include: Assist with job efficiency by ensuring parts and components are collected for each job before they are machined or assembled Maintain the cleanliness of work areas and machinery, including lathes, grinders, and drill presses Operate basic hand and power tools Be willing to learn on the job to operate conventional manual machining tools, including engine lathes, horizontal lathes, milling machines, grinders, drilling machines, and relatedequipment Safely use overhead, gantry cranes, lift trucks, and associated lift rigging Adhere to our shop safety policies

Qualifications and Competencies: At least 1 year of experience working in an industrial setting or graduation from a vocational / 2-year technical school. Ability to perform basic mathfunctions Ability to understand, perform, and retain various job-related training, operational, and safetyprocedures Self-starter and highly motivated person.
