EDUCATION

A B.S., or B.A., or Associates degree in related field of study, or banking education and training in related field preferred. A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

EXPERIENCE

Minimum five (5) years of experience in related positions normally required.

PREFERRED SKILLS

Proficient reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills.

Proficient interpersonal relations and communicative skills.

A thorough knowledge of bank operations.

A working knowledge of computer operations.

Supervisory skills sufficient to manage a small group of employees.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for managing the Deposit Operations department, including, but not limited to:

Manage ATMS

Manage Debit Card Process

Manage VISA Relationship

Manage Online Banking and Mobile Banking, including Terms and Conditions

Manage Compliance with Overdrafts

Manage Deposit Policies & Procedures

Manage Deposit Disclosures

Manage Medallion Guarantee Program

Oversee Treasury Management Operations

Adhere to ACH/NACHA Requirements

Acting as Admin for Jack Henry Remote Deposit Capture

Complete business line verification after implementation of products and updates

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Performs a variety of duties to coordinate, oversee and develop the operations function of which the following are illustrative:

a. Responsible for establishing and maintain Fiserv deposit specifications.

b. Responsible for establishing and maintaining Fiserv security.

c. Responsible for the department workflow to ensure work is completed timely and kept up to date.

d. Monitor all new accounts and customer for risk.

e. Process inquiries from customer service, personnel, and other bank departments.

f. Mail various notices and deposit account statements.

g. Process return items, overdrafts, and non-posts.

Develops, implements, and achieves annual goals and objectives as established in the Operations Department annual operating plan as follows:

a. Allocates division resources, e.g., human, financial, etc., toward tasks required to achieve goals and objectives.

b. Directs, through appropriate management and supervisory personnel, day-to -day activities in support of the divisional objectives.

c. Measures effectiveness and performance of the systems and people.

d. Develops resources, as appropriate, to improve efficiency and productivity.

e. Assists in the development of the annual budget and adheres to budget parameters.

Abides by the current laws and organizational policies and procedures designed and implemented to promote an environment which is free of sexual harassment and other forms of illegal discriminatory behavior in the work place.

Cooperates with, participates in, and supports the adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and practices in support of risk management and overall safety and soundness and the bank's compliance with all regulatory requirements, e.g. Community Reinvestment (CRA), Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Equal Credit Opportunity Act, etc; insures that the department and all personnel adhere to the same.

Coordinates departmental tasks with coworkers inside and outside the department in order to ensure an efficient process and the completion of essential tasks needing proper segregation of duties.

Reports pertinent information to the immediate supervisor as requested, or according to an established schedule; complies information as necessary or as directed and provides date to appropriate bank personnel.
