Job Title: AccountantJob Description

The Accountant will focus on handling the gift card process in correlation with cub stores, preparing and reviewing various accounting statements and reports, and ensuring accuracy in financial data management.

Responsibilities

Prepare and review income and balance sheet statements, consolidated statements, and various other accounting reports.

Analyze financial reports and records, making recommendations related to accounting of reserves, assets, and expenditures.

Review and verify the accuracy of journal entries and accounting classifications.

Assist in evaluating, recommending, maintaining, and monitoring appropriate internal controls.

Maintain internal control documentation.

Interact with internal and external stakeholders to respond to inquiries or report requests.

Conduct special studies and develop or recommend accounting methods and procedures.

Instruct or assign work to staff and external vendor partners.

Coordinate accounting matters with other departments and locations.

Utilize computer systems to input, retrieve, or display accounting information.

Reconcile and review assigned accounts.

Essential Skills

Minimum of 2 years of experience at Staff Level or higher in Accounting.

2 years of experience with heavy fixed assets.

2 years of experience with large ERP systems.

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Experience in a large company, with public company experience preferred.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Interest in growth opportunities within the organization.

Solid and positive experience trajectory.

Public accounting experience or CPA preferred.

Work Environment

This position is 100% remote, with candidates required to be local to the MN metro area for quarterly team outings or meetings. There is an option to work in the office located in Stillwater, MN if preferred.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $33.00/hr.
