Sales Assistant

Description We are looking for a dedicated Sales Assistant to join our team in Watsonville, California. In this role, you will support key sales operations and maintain strong relationships with vendors and customers alike. This is a long-term contract position offering the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and growing environment.

Responsibilities:

Coordinate and manage market reporting to ensure accurate and timely data delivery.

Collaborate with vendors and cross-functional sales teams to streamline operations.

Maintain and manage customer accounts, ensuring satisfaction and addressing any inquiries.

Prepare specialized reports as requested by sales management.

Provide backup support for trouble analyst functions, ensuring seamless operations.

Input and update order information into the company database accurately.

Assist in cross-training initiatives to enhance team capabilities.

Participate in occasional Saturday shifts and work on holidays as required.

Perform other duties as assigned to support overall sales objectives. Requirements - Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sales, preferably within the agriculture or produce distribution industry.

Familiarity with berry distribution is highly preferred, though knowledge of other produce is acceptable.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, and CRM systems.

Ability to communicate fluently in both English and Spanish is preferred.

Associate degree in accounting or a related field is desirable.

Strong organizational and problem-solving skills in an office environment.

Attention to detail and ability to handle data processing tasks effectively.

Adaptability to work occasional overtime and weekend hours as needed. TalentMatch®
