Technical Accounting Manager

Description We are looking for an experienced Technical Accounting Manager to join our team on a contract basis in Kennesaw, Georgia. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in accounting principles and financial reporting to ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to key accounting processes and collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain compliance and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements in accordance with accounting standards.

Manage general ledger activities, including reconciliations and adjustments.

Lead the month-end close process to ensure timely and accurate reporting.

Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel skills to analyze financial data and create detailed reports.

Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements.

Collaborate with internal teams to address complex accounting issues and provide solutions.

Maintain and update accounting policies and procedures to reflect current standards.

Support audits by preparing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries.

Monitor financial trends and provide insights to improve operational efficiency.

Train and mentor team members to enhance their technical accounting skills. Requirements - Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

Proven experience in financial statement preparation and general ledger management.

Expertise in month-end close processes and related activities.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Effective communication skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment and meet deadlines.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
