We are looking for an experienced Cost Accountant to join our team on a Contract basis in Troy, Ohio. In this role, you will play a critical part in managing and analyzing financial data to ensure accurate cost reporting and effective financial planning. This position offers an opportunity to work within the dynamic paper and packaging industry.

Responsibilities:

Prepare, analyze, and maintain accurate cost reports to support financial planning and decision-making.

Monitor and evaluate job order numbers to ensure proper tracking and alignment with budgets.

Conduct cost analysis to identify trends and provide actionable insights for process improvement.

Utilize accounting software systems, including ERP tools, to manage and report financial data.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial workflows and enhance accuracy.

Assist in budgeting processes by providing detailed cost analysis and recommendations.

Reconcile accounts payable and cash activity to maintain up-to-date financial records.

Generate reports using tools such as Crystal Reports to support auditing and compliance efforts.

Ensure adherence to internal controls and auditing standards across financial functions.

Requirements - Proven experience with accounting software systems and ERP platforms, such as Epicor or SyteLine.

Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles and financial reporting.

Proficiency in tools like Crystal Reports for data analysis and reporting.

Familiarity with accounts payable, auditing, and cash activity management.

Demonstrated ability to handle budgeting processes and cost analysis effectively.

Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.

Ability to collaborate with teams and communicate financial insights clearly.

A background in the paper or packaging industry is a plus.
