Job Summary:
We are seeking a talented and motivated Associate Software Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have had some exposure with Snowflake, cloud platforms (AWS, GCP and/or Azure), and be proficient in Java and SQL. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining data-driven applications and systems to support our growing modernization needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable platform native applications.
Utilize cloud platforms (Snowflake, DataBricks, AWS, GCP) to build and manage scalable and performant applications.
Collaborate with Sr. Engineers and Architects to develop and deploy applications to cloud platforms.
Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in Java.
Develop and optimize SQL queries for data manipulation and analysis.
Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends.
Qualifications:
Exposure to Snowflake - Native App Framework a plus.
Cloud Platforms: Proficiency in at least one cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
Programming Languages: Strong skills in Java and SQL.
Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Must be located in Eastern, Central or Mountain Time Zone.
Soft Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
Knowledge of agile development methodologies.
Experience with additional cloud platforms such as DataBricks.
