SUMMARY: Responsible for providing all technical, software, and hardware support to Juvenile Probation staff at Justice Center, Administration Building, and Region Satellite offices in conjunction with the County of Bucks I.T. Department and the Center for Juvenile Justice and Research (CJTTR) staff of the Pennsylvania Juvenile Case Management System (PAJCMS) in order to maintain all JPO, County and PAJCMS systems. Perform duties for Reports Manager | PAJCMS Administrator.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES may include but are not limited to the following:
Experience with organization of data (Access, SQL) and familiarization with data management systems such as:
Ensuring that the database(s) is updated accurately and regularly
Controlling access, performance monitoring and tuning
Identifying and resolving users' issues.
Developing and implementing maintenance procedures
Collaborating in the design and development of databases to meet user needs and respond to/anticipate technological innovations
Supporting users by talking them through a search or by customizing the 'front ends' to incorporate new fields for data entry
Communicating regularly with internal technical, applications, and operational staff, to ensure the database integrity and security
Performs database performance monitoring and tuning controls and monitor user access to the database
Directs and coordinates activities of users involved with analysis of business reports: Plans and directs compilation and updating of cost and control records, utilizing knowledge of reports inventories, usage, cost, distribution, frequency, and operating practices.
Coordinates activities of personnel engaged in reports analysis, such as determining necessity of report, simplification of reports format, increasing content effectiveness, and reduction of processing costs.
Plans and directs activities intended to develop new or revised reports format, utilizing knowledge of principles and techniques of information and documents management, vital records protection, and cost-control practices.
Analyzes and evaluates staff recommendations and approves implementation of changes, utilizing knowledge of reports analysis and standardization, managerial processes and systems, budgetary limitations, and organizational policies and procedures.
Using industry technologies, tools and data mining frameworks for data analytics including data visualization for analyzing and drawing conclusions
Working with clients in defining the key business problems to be solved while developing, maintaining and leveraging key client relationships
Maintaining knowledge and understanding of current and emerging trends within the analytics industry
Coordinate and maintain access through County I.T. for JPO staff to include but not limited to, PA Juvenile Case Management System (JCMS), PA Unified Judicial System (UJS) with Common Pleas Case Management System (CPCMS), and PA Justice Network (JNET).
Repair and provide regular maintenance to COB equipment where possible. Contact repair services in coordination with the JPO Administrative Assistant and COB Helpdesk, when necessary.
Install, move, and maintain COB hardware to include, but not limited to Personal Computers (PCs), laptops, printers, scanners, servers, and video conference equipment as necessary.
Maintain inventory of all JPO and COB equipment and prepare inventory reports as needed.
Assist in migration projects.
Diagnosis and determine the origin of technical and mechanical issues.
Administer and maintain county-issued cell phones and troubleshoot user issues regarding iPhone devices respective to cell phone apps, county email, and text messaging.
Knowledgeable of and have technical skills in scanning/imaging technology and able to operate/troubleshoot scanning/imaging equipment.
Maintain the JPO imaging system and equipment in order to provide assistance and troubleshoot errors and system failure.
Attend and provide appropriate training to JPO staff.
Administer systems access and support efforts for remote users through VPN access.
Responsible for notifying County IT to add and delete JPO personnel from County of Bucks network and applications.
Responsible for assisting staff in re-setting passwords as needed.
Attend I.T. meetings as required.
Assists with department projects as directed.
Will work effectively and independently without the need for constant direct supervision.
Will work with confidential case information and/or restricted office information.
Work closely with the Juvenile Probation Management to establish policies and procedures.
Able to understand and implement the Court's policy and procedure manual and all internal and applicable policy and procedures.
Ability to establish an effective work relationship with all staff.
Ability to lead by personal example and involvement.
Establish and maintain an effective working relationship with court officials, attorneys, general public, and other Bucks County departments and agencies, and other intergovernmental agencies.
Prepare and distribute written communication to users concerning changes in system procedures and availability.
Ability to problem solve, plan, and strategize to meet Departmental Goals and Performance Measures.
Follow Federal, State, County and Department security requirements, policies and procedures; understands and adheres to security plans, emergency procedures, and confidentiality policies; helps to provide a safe and secure environment for self, co-workers, and clients; takes measures to secure data and client information; keeps updated on all safeguards and security programs.

High school education or equivalent.
Bachelor's Degree and/or computer training program or equivalent experience.
Minimum of (1) year of relevant information technology experience.
Proficient in MS Office 365, Windows 10, and Windows 11.
Programming familiarity with: XML, HTML, Java Script, Visual Basic | Studio, ASP.NET, .NET Framework, Crystal Reports, SQL Server Reporting Services Basics: Building SSRS Reports, Power BI
Databases Familiarity with: SQL Server 2008-2016, Microsoft Access
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions to complex office and support case problems is required.
Ability to exercise good judgment, courtesy, and tact with the public and with co-workers.
Ability to speak and write in a professional, discreet manner.
