There is an exciting opportunity to join the Aftermarket team at North Berwick Repair Operations site. A seasoned team of 20+ Engineers and Technicians focuses on military and commercial hardware. This position involves excellent opportunity to interface directly with operators and machines. The site would provide exposure to OEM, Engineering Design, MODS center and the Aftermarket team.
What You Will Do:
Interpretation of approved technical data such as Engine and Standard Practices Manuals, for both military and commercial engines, which will flow down into process work instructions.
Develop, modify and maintain ASI's (Aftermarket Services Instructions), which includes editing CAPP II & Solumina work instructions.
Review tool designs, mark-up prints, issue request forms, track tool changes and corrections.
Perform the necessary process try-out tasks including set-ups, first piece runs, process development and gage correlations.
Support and assist in TAT reductions, On-Time Delivery and Sales & EBIT Goals.
Review Engineering Hold items on a daily basis and determine proper course of action.
Develop new equipment, process and troubleshoot problem operations
Will require off-shift and weekend coverage based on business needs.
What You Will Learn:
How to interpret tech data/blue prints and relay the technical requirements into manufacturing work instructions.
Learn lean principles and continuous improvement tools and how to implement them for your product and processes.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Bachelor's Degree in a related field of study and 2 years of engineering experience within a manufacturing or aerospace environment or an Advanced Degree and less than a year of engineering experience within a manufacturing or aerospace environment.
Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
Qualifications We Prefer:
The position requires candidates to demonstrate a high level of proficiency in the application of continuous improvement tools: process certification, Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work, Six Sigma, and set-up reduction are examples of the continuous improvement skills required.
FAA repairman certification
Experience and knowledge of machining and assembly processes, including tool application. CAD experience is required.
NX or prior drafting experience desired
Individual must be self-motivated, a demonstrated team player and be flexible in schedule and function.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Strong computer skills
Ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously

This role is:
Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
Candidates will learn more about role @type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee's personal responsibility.
The salary range for this role is 66,000 USD - 130,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
