Sr. Accountant

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to manage and oversee various accounting and financial functions within our organization. This role will play a key part in supporting the Controller with critical tasks such as month-end closings, budgeting, and project accounting. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, precision, and a commitment to excellence in financial reporting.

Responsibilities:

Assist the Controller with the month-end closing process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Prepare and post recurring journal entries to maintain accurate financial records.

Perform account reconciliations, including general ledger and balance sheet accounts.

Conduct cost accounting analysis to support financial decision-making.

Monitor and track project accounting to ensure proper allocation of resources.

Develop and maintain budgets, providing insightful financial forecasts.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to perform audits and ensure compliance.

Address additional accounting projects as they arise throughout the fiscal year. Requirements - Minimum of 3-7 years of accounting experience, preferably in a similar role.

High school diploma required; a college degree in accounting is strongly preferred.

Proficiency in account reconciliation, including balance sheet and bank reconciliations.

Hands-on experience with journal entries and month-end close processes.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to handle complex financial data.

Familiarity with cost accounting and project tracking methodologies.

Excellent organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple priorities effectively.
