Job Description

Olsson is seeking a motivated individual to join our Construction Materials Testing (CMT) team in Tempe, Arizona. This position involves both lab and field work. The ideal candidate would have experience in a CMT lab environment, particularly working with soils and aggregates, and would be eager to grow and take on new challenges within the lab and field environments. A proactive mindset, coupled with a strong willingness to learn and adapt, is crucial for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Construction Materials and Testing Lab / Field Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety of construction projects. Your responsibilities will include:

Collecting and testing construction materials samples from various construction sites.

Performing tests and inspections to assess the properties and integrity of those materials using specialized equipment and following established procedures and standards.

Documenting your findings and communicating results to project managers and other stakeholders, facilitating informed decision-making and maintaining the structural integrity and safety of construction projects.

Traveling to various job sites and working in all @types of terrain and weather conditions.

Qualifications

You are passionate about:

You bring to the team:

1 to 5 years of construction materials testing experience, preferably in a lab environment with both soils and aggregates testing.

Associates degree from a technical or four-year school, preferred but not required.

ATTI certifications are desirable, specifically in soils & aggregates.

Knowledge of Arizona Technical Testing Institute standards.

ACI strength or aggregate, a plus.

Understanding of AMRL accreditation and its importance in maintaining high standards in construction materials testing.

Valid driver's license with a good driving history.

The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
