KOMAN Holdings, LLC is searching for an experienced Sr. Construction Superintendent to provide management oversight and construction-related support to Project Superintendents during proposal and project execution. The Sr. Construction Superintendent will be involved in estimating construction projects during the proposal phase and will support Project Superintendents throughout the project life-cycle. This position will require periodic travel to job sites as needed for routine inspection of construction-related activities during project execution to ensure tasks are progressing in accordance to schedule and budget.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Oversee and execute construction projects (up to $20M) with an emphasis on government clients such as DOE, DOD, and USACE, as well as other commercial and state agencies.

Manage multiple projects at one time including lower tier subcontractors and direct hire staff, including union personnel.

Attend site visits as needed for upcoming opportunities as directed.

Support proposal teams by completing reviews of RFPs including engineering drawings and technical specifications. Collaborate with the project management team during the estimating process to ensure accurate and reasonable technical and cost estimates.

Ensure construction work is planned and performed with an emphasis on safety and promote the Safety Policies and Procedures of the Company during project execution.

Support procurement during supplier proposal commercial evaluations and technical review coordination to ensure bids received are in compliance with project requirements.

Lead Constructability reviews during the development of the technical portion of an RFP to ensure the construction process is well defined, manageable, executable and in line with the project construction schedule, as well as ensuring the overall process is planned with safety as a primary function.

Engage collaboratively with the project team to support and review procurement-related activities during project execution, ensuring procurements are built into the project schedule and follow the proper timeline for purchase, delivery and installation.

Lead Teams or Zoom meetings weekly with Project Superintendents to review project execution and ensure construction schedules, budgets and procurements are being maintained.

Act as Competent Person during specific construction activities as needed during project execution, and identify training needed for Project Superintendents.

Review and identify construction metrics and production factors ensuring they are built into the project schedule for accurate management and execution if feasible.

Report weekly or as needed the progress of projects to the VP of Business Strategy identifying any construction-related issues and proposing solutions to issues. Work with the project team supporting change management, scope growth and non-compliance issues as needed.

Support the project leadership by attending client meetings as needed during the execution of the project.

QUALIFICATIONS:

15+ years of Construction-related experience with at least 10+ years in a lead Superintendent position in the construction industry

Degree in Construction Management preferred; experience may be used in lieu of

Ability to read, analyze and interpret construction documents including blue prints, contracts (both upstream & downstream), design specifications, shop drawings, submittal data, understand subcontractor bids and scopes in relation to their contract.Experience developing project-specific budgets and schedules.

Solid understanding of the construction industry, job site safety requirements, planning and scheduling, and sequence of work and relevant technology

Experience working with and managing Building Trades

Experience and working knowledge of the development of P6 Primavera project schedules

Current OSHA 30 certification and CPR/First Aid

Ability to travel and obtain access (clearance) to government installations (DOE and DOD).
