Your role
We are seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop and deliver next-generation cloud security service technologies within our Next Generation Firewall team. We want passionate engineers who love to architect and code world-class security services on Cloud Providers. We are looking for engineers who bring new ideas in all facets of software development. Collaboration and teamwork are at the foundation of our culture and we need engineers who can communicate at a high level and work well with others towards achieving a common goal.
Your Impact
Design, develop and implement highly scalable software features on our next-generation security platform
Ownership of end to end workflow for a major component of the service in its first version
Leadership opportunity to drive collaboration with internal/external cross-functional efforts to deliver best in quality software
Collaboratively work with DevOps and the Technical Support teams to troubleshoot customer issues and build better customer experiences
Design and build backend services using Go, Python
Your Experience
Proficient in one of these programming languages - Python, Java, Golang - Familiarity with Linux and Shell
Extensive knowledge of ML frameworks, libraries, data structures, data modeling, and software architecture (e.g., Scikit-learn, MLlib, Tensorflow, Keras, Kubeflow)
Working experience applying supervised and/or unsupervised machine learning algorithms on various @types of data
Experience with Big data and big data infrastructure (e.g., Hadoop, Spark)
Familiar with database systems such as MySql, MongoDB, or similar
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
MS/B.S in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field or equivalent military experience required
Preferred (Not Required)
Working knowledge of NLP techniques or document classifications
Working knowledge of different machine learning architectures such as transformers and convolutional networks
Experience with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS) and container-based development (Docker, Kubernetes)
Ability to design, implement, and deploy components; conduct regression and integration test
Education:
M.S./B.S. degree in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent
The Team
Our engineering team is at the core of the NextGen Firewall building Cloud Security services natively on Cloud Providers. Engineers on our team work on all aspects of the management and control plane of the service. This includes, Activation, Onboarding, Configuration, Orchestration, Data, APIs and much more. We need individuals who feel comfortable in ambiguity, excited by the prospect of a challenge, and empowered by the unknown risks facing our everyday lives that are only enabled by a secure digital environment.
Compensation Disclosure
The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) is expected to be between $104000 - $159500YR.
