Job Title: Electrician Technician

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Electrician Technician to join our team for the Carrier Library Addition/Renovation project at JMU (West Side 81). This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a significant project with a dedicated and professional team.

Responsibilities

Cutting, bending, threading, and running 1/2", 3/4", and 1" electrical conduit materials.

Pulling electrical wiring through electrical conduit as a Mechanic/Journeyman.

Hooking up and terminating electrical panels, setting fixtures, outlets, and various electrical devices.

Ensuring dependability and commitment to completing the project from start to finish.

Essential Skills

Experience with electrical, conduit, troubleshooting, and blueprint reading.

Proficiency in construction, installation, electrical troubleshooting, and running conduit.

Ability to bend conduit and experience with MC Cable.

Familiarity with light fixtures.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

MUST have rigid bending and running experience.

Work Environment

Work in all weather conditions at JMU Carrier Library with a schedule from Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, totaling 40 hours a week. The workload will increase as the project nears its completion in Fall 2025. Employees living 40+ miles away will receive a daily mileage reimbursement of $20.00.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $29.00/hr.
