We are Vizio, part of Walmart, a leading smart TV platform. VIZIO's Technology - Software and Services team is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their growing team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work together within the team and contribute to innovate VIZIO products. The Senior Software Engineer going to report to the "Senior Manager" directly who is leading a team and will be assigned a task that requires certain level of insight in terms of specific technology point of view. We value in problem solving and collaboration and believe in empowering our team members to achieve their best. We're focused on learning, doing something new and valuable, and encouraging our team to do the same. We are looking for a highly competent C++ Developer with experience in design, coding, and debugging. If you have experience on embedded Linux based platforms with C++, we would like to hear from you. We pride ourselves on being a collaborative team here at Vizio and to accomplish this, we are in office 5 days a week in our Dallas, TX office.

About the Engineering Team:
Our engineering team operates at the forefront of technology, driving Walmart's mission to deliver innovative solutions that enhance customer experiences. As a Principal Software Engineer, you'll be instrumental in designing and developing scalable software that supports our business goals and ensures efficient operations. Your contributions will directly impact Walmart's ability to provide everyday low prices and exceptional service to our customers.
What You'll Do:
Deliver Assigned Tasks : Support your supervisor to ensure timely completion of coding, debugging, and bug fixing tasks required for software releases.
Collaboration : Work closely with QA teams and third-party partners to deliver projects on time.
Design Review : Review software designs and implementations to maintain clean, modular code for cross-platform architecture.
Industry Engagement : Participate in trade and industry events, including conferences and sponsored activities.
What You'll Bring:
Educational Background : Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Electronics & Communications, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Experience : 6+ years of experience in design, prototyping, software development, code review, and unit testing for embedded devices.
Technical Skills : High proficiency in modern C, C++, C++11/C++14/C++17, object-oriented programming, and design skills. Knowledge of JavaScript, HTML5, Linux OS, Makefile, Python, and other development/build tools.
Specialized Knowledge : Expertise in Linux OS or RTOS, boot-up processes, memory management, inter-process communications (IPC), remote procedure calls (RPC), and multiple communications paradigms.
Collaboration : Experience working with diverse engineering teams and a desire to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, highly collaborative environment.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00
