Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and innovative Director of Information Technology (IT) to lead and oversee all aspects of our IT infrastructure, operations, security, and digital innovation. This role will be responsible for setting the strategic direction of the IT department, ensuring technology systems are efficient, secure, and aligned with the organization's goals. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and the ability to drive digital transformation across a multi-site organization.
Duties and Responsibilities
The duties include, but are not limited to:
Strategic Leadership and Planning
Develop and execute a comprehensive IT strategy aligned with business objectives.
Partner with executive leadership to identify opportunities for technology innovation and improvement.
Infrastructure and Security Management
Oversee all IT systems, network infrastructure, software applications, and cybersecurity measures.
Ensure compliance with data security regulations and protect against cyber threats.
Operations and Project Management
Lead the planning and implementation of major IT projects, including system upgrades, software implementations, and cloud migrations.
Manage daily IT operations, technical support, vendor relationships, and IT service delivery.
Team Management and Development
Build, mentor, and lead an IT team focused on performance, collaboration, and innovation.
Establish clear goals, KPIs, and accountability for IT team members.
Budget and Vendor Management
Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness in all technology investments.
Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with external vendors, consultants, and service providers.
Reporting and Analytics
Provide regular updates to senior leadership on IT initiatives, project statuses, and system performance metrics.
Utilize data analytics to inform decisions on system enhancements and resource allocations.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
8-10+ years of IT leadership experience, preferably within a multi-location organization.
Proven expertise in IT infrastructure management, cybersecurity, cloud technology, and system integration.
Strong project management skills with experience leading large-scale IT initiatives.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Familiarity with healthcare, dental, or DSO environments a plus.
Professional certifications such as PMP, CISSP, or ITIL are preferred.
