Austin Resource Recovery (ARR)is an organization of 500 plus employees that provides residential curbside collection of trash, recycling, and composting to the residents of the Austin metropolitan area. Additional services include bulk and large brush collection, street sweeping, dead animal collection, and a drop-off center for hard-to-recycle items and household hazardous waste.

ARR is seeking aTraining Specialist Seniorfor the Human Resources division. The Training Specialist Sr. position will assist with leading training initiatives for the Commercial Drivers Licensing Program, ARR heavy equipment training, First Aid-CPR, and other operational training included in the operational training program. This position will provide Class A and BCDL, Entry Level Driver Training, and testing as a DPS Third Party Skills Examiner.

This position will provide oversight and complex scheduling of all regulatory, operational training, and the COA CDL Program. This position will develop training curriculum, research best practices and alternative training methods, and complete training records processing and management. This position is responsible for ensuring and maintaining training standards for all ARR Training Specialists on all equipment, policies and procedures, training practices, and federal and state laws as they pertain to the Entry Level Driver training program, Third Party Skills Testing, and commercial drivers licensing.

Additionally, this role involves close collaboration with other Training Specialist Seniors, the Training Supervisor, and the Program Compliance Coordinator.
