Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Accounting Associate to perform various accounting tasks including filing, scanning, data collection, and report creation. This role supports accounting operations by managing documents, scheduling and preparing customer invoices, reconciliation statements, and other accounting process reports. The ideal candidate will handle data entry and filing of accounts receivable/payable records within our manufacturing data collection systems and maintain accounting and office support files.

Responsibilities

Perform various accounting tasks including filing, scanning, data collection, and report creation.

Support accounting operations by filing documents.

Schedule and prepare customer invoices and reconciliation statements.

Create accounting process reports.

Enter and file accounts receivable/payable records within manufacturing data collection systems.

Maintain accounting and office support files.

Check stock levels, order, and stock office supplies.

Act as receptionist by receiving and greeting visitors, answering questions, forwarding messages, confirming customer orders, and routing calls.

Access customer sites for receipt and prepare customer sale purchase orders for sales department processing.

Adhere to defined safety and quality standards, procedures, and policies.

Support process improvement and other quality improvement initiatives.

Fill in other areas within the facility based on experience and cross-training.

Essential Skills

1 year of experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, or any accounting role.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Strong communication skills (written, oral, and telephone).

Experience with accounts receivable/payables related activities.

Skills in reconciliation, invoicing, general ledger, bookkeeping, purchase order, invoice processing, bank reconciliation, and collection.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Ability to enhance the organization's reputation by supporting process and quality improvement initiatives.

Work Environment

The role is fully in-office from 8am to 4:30pm. You will interact with various team members including Sales, Purchasing, Order Entry, and Leadership, but not with the assembly group. The team values collaboration and effective communication to ensure smooth operations.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
