GDIT is looking for its next passionate, highly skilled, self-motivated, experienced Solutions Expert looking to join our BSOC team. BSOC provides operational support to several programs including eMedNY, NYSOH and NC Tracks. You will join a group of high performing technical services resources to work on critical systems with continuous availability and stringent service level agreements.

You will join our talented Technical Services team with oversight of all application, information and technical architectures. As a leader of our team, you will help set the strategic direction and define the guiding principles that shape our software, data and technology adoption practices. You will have the opportunity to architect, design and develop mission critical applications with continuous availability and high performance requirements. You will be working in a hybrid environment housed in GDIT's Tier 3 Datacenter as well as a migration of certain applications to the AWS public cloud.

Responsibilities:
Under general direction from the BSOC Director, provide oversight of the Technical Services team
Develop cost strategies and associated rationale. Identify and select the best technical solutions and approaches to meet anticipated or actual new business requirements
Participate in the review of system enhancement and improvements and work with vendors, information security, BSOC staff, and Technology Services to design solutions and determine the level of effort and impact on service delivery and operations
Provide technical oversight throughout the project lifecycle, from planning and design to implementation and operational transition
Collaborate with GDIT technical service areas and lines of business to identify and bring the best technical business strategies and solutions.
Function as technical liaison with clients, developers, project managers, BSOC staff and Technology Services to gather consensus on a solution and assist in the execution of deliverables
Ensure system changes comply with HIPAA Privacy and Security Rules and other federal and state regulatory requirements through collaboration with the Security team.
Assess vulnerability findings for potential impacts, solution approaches and resolution
Support the Security team in developing BSOC security documentation
Advise management team and BSOC staff on technology strategies, areas of improvement, etc.
Ensure that Disaster Recovery solutions are adequate to meet DR SLAs
Conduct regular infrastructure capacity planning. Conduct regular infrastructure performance reviews.
Participate in the Change Management process, to review all configuration changes and provide Architecture approval
Follow formal methodology and ITIL practices where appropriate; create and maintain architectural artifacts (Conceptual/Logical Technology Models) and documentation for all SDLC environments
Education
Bachelors Degree and minimum of 15 years experience
Required Qualifications:
· Ability to work with cross-functional teams to solicit and synthesize input on capabilities
· Passion for emerging technologies and track records of self-started knowledge acquisition
· Ability to drive to completion with indirect teams
· Vendor selection/relationship management
· Deep understanding of IT service management and application of those principals to fluid environments
Preferred Qualifications:
Background with letter generation software - Elixir, Bluecrest, etc.

Experience with file format conversions

ITIL particularly change management processes
Perl scripting
The likely salary range for this position is $146,536 - $172,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
