Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Ornamental Fabricator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be able to layout, fit, fabricate, and weld from engineered drawings. Proficiency in MIG welding and the use of basic hand tools, including tape measures and digital calipers, is essential. This role requires self-motivation with minimal supervision and strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Layout, fit, and fabricate parts according to blueprints.

Perform MIG welding and other welding @types such as TIG, stick, and aluminum welding.

Utilize grinders, cutters (oxy/fuel torch and plasma cutters), and measuring instruments.

Follow blueprints for fitting and fabrication of parts.

Perform welds up to 1/2 inch.

Grind and prep parts for welding.

Cut parts to size using a tape measure.

Operate an overhead crane.

Assist with shop cleaning during downtime.

Essential Skills

2+ years of ornamental welding/fabricating experience on steel.

Comfortable reading and interpreting blueprints.

Proficient in MIG welding.

Strong attention to detail.

Proficient in the use of basic hand tools including tape measures and digital calipers.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with TIG welding, stick welding, and aluminum welding.

Familiarity with hand rails fitting.

Experience using grinders, cutters (oxy/fuel torch and plasma cutters), and measuring instruments.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $25.00/hr.
