Vendor Operations Management Consultant - LTSS
Location: This position is based in Ohio with a strong preference for Columbus, OH.
Hybrid Workforce Schedule: This position will take part in Elevance Health's hybrid workforce strategy which includes virtual work and 1-2 days physically in office per week.
The Vendor Operations Management Consultant - LTSS is an individual contributor role responsible for developing and implementing strategy and monitoring program effectiveness of the MyCare Ohio Delegated Waiver Service Coordination program. It involves attending key internal and external meetings and onsite visits to Area Agencies on Aging (AAA)s throughout the state as necessary.
This role requires a collaborative leader with excellent communication, strategic thinking, and a commitment to improving healthcare outcomes for vulnerable populations through effective collaboration with Area Agencies on Aging. The Vendor Operations Management Consultant will be instrumental in driving innovation and effectiveness in long-term care services.
How You Will Make an Impact
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
Works closely with the LTSS Strategy Director to create and adapt workflows and processes for effective collaboration between AAAs and internal teams.
Stays informed about Waiver Service Coordination requirements and updates the program as needed.
Balances the integration of internal best practice with considerations of operational efficiencies for AAA partnership.
Supports AAAs with strategies to achieve competency where gaps are identified.
Acts as a primary business owner of system requirements for AAA collaboration and oversight.
Oversees contractual compliance and Anthem best practice performance of delegated waiver service coordination activity and develops strategies to support AAAs with performance gaps.
Ensure alignment with LTSS clinical and service coordination requirements as defined by state and federal contracts/rules.
Provide dotted line leadership to Care Consultants to drive Waiver Service Coordination strategy and individual AAA support.
This role will serve as a key leader on LTSS leadership team, working closely with local LTSS leaders to execute strategic quality and operational initiatives.
Serve as a resource and consultant within the organization, potentially chairing or serving on company and external committees.
Represent the Health Plan to external entities.
Ensure all Waiver Service Coordination activities comply with regulations.
Ensure Waiver Service Coordination staffing and training requirements are in compliance with contractual requirements.
Assist with resource development and drive Health Plan collaborations to support LTSS/HCBS populations.
Engage in continuous improvement of program operations and member satisfaction.
May be responsible for developing and implementing programs to improve quality, cost, and outcomes.
Minimum Requirements:
Requires a BA/BS degree in business or related field and 5 - 7 years of increasingly responsible professional-level contract management/vendor management experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences:
Minimum 5 years of experience with Long Term Services and Supports strongly preferred.
Minimum 2 years of experience with Quality oversight and/or with using data analytics to conduct performance oversight strongly preferred.
Experience with program implementation and strategy development strongly preferred.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
