Freight Handler

Pay: $20/hour

Location: Sumner, WA

Shift: 7AM-3:30PM

Job Description

We are seeking motivated individuals to join our team as Freight Handlers. This role involves performing all duties associated with unloading and loading freight from containers, palletizing, and conducting quality checks on products. Candidates must be able to regularly lift between 50-75 lbs.

Responsibilities

Hand load and unload freight from inbound and outbound containers.

Pick orders from lower level racking using a push cart.

Verify the contents of packages prior to shipping.

Package contents into boxes.

Ship products in a timely fashion.

Maintain high productivity to meet production levels and standards.

Essential Skills

Ability to lift 50-75 lbs. repeatedly, with occasional lifting of up to 120 lbs. between two people.

Attention to detail when reading numbers and paperwork.

Willingness to unload trucks for the entirety of the shift.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with load, unload, paperwork, palletizing, picking, shipping and receiving, material handling, packing, RF scanner, warehouse inventory, and processing.

Work Environment

This role is based in a 425,000 square foot warehouse with product stacked on racks in the middle of the facility and dock doors surrounding the outside. Forklifts are constantly moving throughout the facility and in/out of containers. The shifts are Monday - Friday, with Day shifts from 7am-3:30pm and Swing shifts from 3pm-11:30pm.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sumner, Washington.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
