Description

We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to lead core accounting operations and support accurate, timely financial reporting in San Ramon, California. This role oversees key close activities, maintains the integrity of the general ledger, and helps ensure compliance with internal standards and external reporting requirements. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical judgment, a hands-on approach to reconciliations and journal entries, and the ability to partner effectively across the organization.

Responsibilities:

Lead month-end close activities, including entries, reconciliations, account analysis, and issue resolution.

Review accounting workpapers and ensure accuracy of supporting documentation.

Analyze complex transactions and recommend proper accounting treatment.

Ensure compliance with GAAP, SEC regulations, SOX, and internal controls.

Collaborate with business partners, global teams, and auditors on reporting matters.

Improve processes through automation, analytics, and technology solutions.

Support ERP systems, financial data integrity, and system workflows.

Mentor staff and promote a collaborative, high-performance team environment.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

5+ years of accounting experience, including 2+ years supervisory experience leading a team of 2 or more.

Strong understanding of GAAP, SOX, and internal controls through 2+ years experience in corporate accounting in a publicly-traded company

CPA and public accounting background preferred.

Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Advanced Excel and ERP system experience; Workday a plus.

Experience improving processes through automation, reporting tools, and AI solutions.
