Summary You will serve as a DATA ANALYTICS SPECIALIST in the Innovation and Development Division of SUBMEPP ACTIVITY. Responsibilities You will be responsible for mining data, analyzing data and providing recommendations in support of SUBMEPP's Mission of optimizing class maintenance planning and effective availability planning. You will apply analytical and evaluative methods and techniques to fleet maintenance problems or technical studies concerning the efficiency and effectiveness of program operations for the depot and intermediate maintenance community. You will act as the liaison between business process owners and engineers, and data architects to identify and analyze data needs. You will adapt robust data analytical techniques and evaluation criteria to measure and improve performance of maintenance planning and participates in the development of corporate standards for submarine maintenance data analytics. You will perform independent research, studies and analysis that encompass business, scientific and professional disciplines using data science skills such as programming, operational research, statistics, data analytics and machine learning. You will work collaboratively with other Departments and Divisions in SUBMEPP to determine business processes that would benefit from data analytics to maximize the return on investment of analytics. You will communicate the analysis and findings through data visualizations, documents, presentations and evaluates data visualization options for proper application in various situations. You will interact with SUBMEPP SMEs to define questions and identify opportunities for data driven solutions to problems. You will develop a comprehensive Technical and Non-Technical Data Library and a list of authoritative databases from which analytics and metrics can be obtained. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications GS-12: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Analyzing analytic data to provide recommendations and methods for maintenance planning and engineering processes. GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
