The Worldwidewide (WW) Commercial Planning & Landing team within Planning, Landing and Execution (PLE) is part of the Customer and Commercial Success (C&CS) organization advances Microsoft's growth and revenue ambitions through strategic planning, capability and community development, and AI-powered innovation.

As Director of Sales Enablement, you will lead high-impact growth initiatives, shape sales models and go-to-market plans, and align leaders across organizations to drive successful execution. You will champion customer-focused innovation, develop deep customer insights that inform the evolution of enterprise segments, and foster an inclusive culture grounded in Microsoft's values.

Candidates who live within 50 miles of Microsoft's Redmond campus will be required to work in the office 3 days per week.

Responsibilities

Define and scale a compelling vision for Account Team Unit (ATU) and Solution Team Unit (STU) Manager and Leader excellence aligned to Microsoft's enterprise strategy and MCAPS priorities. Establish clear role readiness models, including differentiation, proficiency expectations, and skilling roadmaps. Ensure enablement approaches are "core and common" where appropriate, while allowing flexibility for regional and field needs. Lead the strategy, prioritization, and operating model for enterprise enablement initiatives across the ATU and STU Manager and Leader Communities. Balance near-term execution needs with scalable, long-term capability building. Define and own success metrics for enterprise enablement, including adoption, readiness, and impact on priority business outcomes. Partner with stakeholders to establish feedback loops and data storytelling that inform continuous improvement. Use insights to guide investment decisions, tradeoffs, and program evolution. Serve as a senior partner to C&CS, Commercial Solution Areas, and Field leadership to ensure tight alignment between strategy, enablement, and execution. Ensure enablement efforts land effectively in the field through clear prioritization, sequencing, and change management. Build trust and buy-in by connecting enablement outcomes directly to Manager/Leader and customer impact. Sponsor and scale healthy enterprise Manager/Leader communities that foster connection, shared learning, and best-practice exchange. Elevate field insights and success stories to inform strategy, inspire sellers, and reinforce what "great" looks like at scale.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Engineering, or related field AND 5+ years experience in business consulting, sales, sales operations, information technology (IT), account management, business development, marketing, IT field sales, or a related field OR equivalent experience.

6+ years experience in in Near Term Strategy (2 years out), Management Consulting, Sales, or Finance.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience leading sales enablement, readiness, learning, or transformation programs for large enterprise sales organizations - using AI to improve productivity and outcomes.

Proven ability to influence senior leaders and drive alignment across highly matrixed organizations.

Experience leveraging business performance insights and data to identify capability gaps and develop targeted enablement strategies.

Experience supporting sales managers and leadership populations through role-based readiness and capability development.

Sales Strategy Enablement IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $130,900 - $251,900 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $165,600 - $272,300 per year.
