Purpose:**
The Global Marketing Manager, Downstream - Complex Spine is responsible for driving commercial growth, portfolio strategy, and launch excellence across Johnson & Johnson MedTech's Complex Spine business. This role serves as the downstream commercial leader for assigned product platforms spanning adult and pediatric deformity, trauma, tumor, and other complex pathologies, translating customer insights and global strategy into market-winning execution.
The successful candidate will own portfolio performance, lead global commercialization efforts, develop surgeon engagement strategies, and partner closely with Sales, R&D, Supply Chain, Finance, Professional Education, and Regional Marketing teams to drive revenue growth, successful product launches, and market share expansion globally.
You will be responsible for:
Owning commercial performance, growth strategy, and lifecycle management for assigned Complex Spine portfolios, including forecasting, demand planning, pricing inputs, and business case development.
Leading downstream commercialization activities for new products, enabling technologies, and portfolio expansions by developing launch strategies, positioning, messaging, sales enablement tools, and execution plans that deliver successful market adoption.
Building and maintaining relationships with key opinion leaders, professional societies, and commercial partners globally while leading Voice of Customer initiatives to inform product, portfolio, and commercial strategy.
Partnering with Professional Education to develop surgeon training programs, educational events, advisory boards, and faculty engagement strategies that support product adoption and clinical excellence.
Developing market segmentation, targeting, and growth strategies while monitoring market trends, competitive dynamics, procedure evolution, and customer insights to identify new business opportunities.
Leading and influencing cross-functional teams across Marketing, Sales, R&D, Quality, Regulatory, Supply Chain, Finance, and regional organizations to ensure execution excellence and alignment against business objectives.
Supporting commercial excellence through development of marketing collateral, field tools, customer-facing content, and sales enablement resources while ensuring alignment with global messaging and branding strategies.
Qualifications / Requirements:
Bachelor's degree required; MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of 6 years of progressive business experience required; experience in Marketing, Sales, Product Management, R&D, or Commercial Strategy preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of healthcare, medical device, orthopedics, spine, or related industry experience preferred.
Demonstrated success leading product launches, commercial initiatives, and cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment.
Strong business acumen with experience in forecasting, financial analysis, market modeling, and portfolio management.
Proven ability to influence stakeholders, build strategic relationships with surgeons and customers, and translate market insights into business growth opportunities.
Excellent communication, presentation, analytical, and leadership skills with the ability to work effectively across global teams and functions.
Ability to travel up to 40%.
On October 14, 2025, Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopaedics business to establish a standalone orthopaedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes.
