Assembly Lead | Production Lead

About the Role

Lead a skilled assembly team in a clean, climate-controlled manufacturing environment where quality, safety, and efficiency are top priorities. As the Assembly Lead, you'll oversee daily production operations, train team members, solve problems on the floor, and keep schedules on track. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on mechanical/electrical work and leading people.

Key Responsibilities

Daily production leadership - Oversee workflow, staffing, and schedule adherence.

Team training - Coach and develop assembly team members to improve skill and performance.

Safety & quality oversight - Maintain a safe, organized, and high-quality work environment.

Blueprint & schematic reading - Interpret engineering drawings, BOMs, and work instructions.

Troubleshooting - Identify issues, recommend solutions, and keep production moving.

Continuous improvement - Support process improvements and efficiency initiatives.

Recordkeeping - Maintain accurate production and inventory documentation.

Required Skills & Experience

Mechanical and electrical assembly experience

Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and BOMs

Strong troubleshooting abilities

Proficiency with hand and power tools

Effective leadership and communication

Ability to manage production operations in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

Experience leading small teams

Ability to train and mentor employees

Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities

Confidence working independently and making decisions on the floor

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minneapolis, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $29.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
