Summary This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Responsibilities You will prepare reports (e.g., base loading, inventory, usage, and occupancy) to provide housing trends and decision tools to command and regional program managers. You will prepare appropriate housing reports or documentation concerning occupancy, vacancy, placement or other related activities. You will advise incoming personnel on @types of housing available (e.g., eligibility for number of bedrooms, turn-down options, tenant rights and obligations, procedures) for on and off base moves. You will collaborate with management officials (e.g., public and private housing representatives, law enforcement agencies) to maintain effective working relationships with community organizations affecting off-base housing. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Ensuring proper customer service and compliance with appropriate mandates of the Housing Program; 2) Interpreting housing directives, regulations, policies and procedures and explains them to military personnel; 3) Processing requests for permanent and temporary quarters; and 4) Maintaining appropriate Housing Referral Services (HRS) correspondence, records, timekeeping data, personnel files, directives and procedures, and necessary documentation of actions and processes. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Education In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: Successful completion of a 1 full year of graduate level education OR completion of a bachelor's degree with superior academic achievement A transcript must be submitted with your application if qualifying using education. Additional Information This announcement uses the Defense Industrial Base, Major Range and Test Facilities direct hire authority to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to certain positions in the competitive service. This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Several vacancies may be filled. Certain incentives (such as Recruitment, Relocation or Student Loan Repayment) may be authorized to eligible selectees. A relocation incentive is generally a single payment intended to offset some of the relocation costs experienced by the selectee. A relocation incentive may be authorized. PCS is not authorized. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if the selectee fails to meet the pre-employment requirements, including failure to report to any of the scheduled appointments.
