The Office of the Director provides the leadership and develops the policies, programs, services and systems necessary to meet the human resources requirements of the USPTO. Responsibilities The physical worksite for this position is located in Alexandria, Virginia. Presence at the Alexandria, VA campus is required for this role, as it includes on site functions that must be performed in person. Position may be eligible for situational telework in accordance with agency policy/business unit discretion. The agency currently allows for 52 hours of telework per leave year. Specialized experience for this position includes: Experience developing and executing integrated national marketing and communications strategies across multiple channels, including paid media, career fairs, recruitment events, webinars, email marketing, and other outreach initiatives. Experience in aligning campaign objectives with organizational goals to strengthen brand awareness, engage targeted audiences, and drive measurable results. Experience developing and implementing social media and digital marketing strategies to promote employment opportunities and showcase organizational culture to prospective candidates. Includes creating compelling content, writing copy, designing graphics, developing email campaigns, and auditing social media channels and websites to optimize audience targeting and engagement. Experience managing communications, marketing, and outreach projects, including strategic campaigns, events, stakeholder engagement initiatives, and cross-functional collaborations from planning through execution and evaluation. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
