We are looking for an Accountant to support core financial operations for a growing organization in New Richmond, Wisconsin. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for an individual who can manage daily accounting activities, maintain accurate records, and help ensure timely month-end reporting. The role will contribute across payables, receivables, reconciliations, and general ledger processes while partnering with internal teams to keep financial data organized and reliable.

Responsibilities:

Process vendor invoices, review payment details for accuracy, and help maintain an efficient accounts payable workflow.

Monitor incoming payments, apply cash receipts, and follow up on outstanding balances to support accounts receivable activities.

Prepare and post journal entries with appropriate backup documentation to keep the general ledger current and accurate.

Perform bank reconciliations on a regular basis and investigate discrepancies to ensure account balances are properly stated.

Assist with month-end close tasks, including account analysis, reconciliations, and financial reporting support.

Maintain accounting records and supporting schedules in accordance with internal controls and established procedures.

Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to resolve transaction issues and clarify accounting-related questions.

Contribute to ad hoc accounting projects and provide support for process improvements within the finance function.

Requirements - Experience working in an accounting role with hands-on responsibility for accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.

Working knowledge of general ledger activity, journal entry preparation, and account reconciliation practices.

Ability to complete bank reconciliations accurately and investigate variances in a timely manner.

Familiarity with month-end close procedures and the preparation of supporting financial documentation.

Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.

Proficiency with accounting systems and spreadsheet tools used for financial tracking and reporting.

Clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams.
