Join the F-35 final assembly Production Engineering team, where innovation meets precision. As a Manufacturing Engineer Staff, you will bring expertise and independence to solve complex manufacturing challenges. This dynamic role bridges shop floor operations and engineering solutions, ensuring seamless production of one of the most advanced fighter jets in the world.

What You Will Be Doing

This position will be assigned to the F-35 Final Assembly Production Engineering team as the Metrology team lead. The successful candidate will have the experience necessary to operate independently as a Manufacturing Engineer and lead/mentor other Manufacturing Engineers. This position is seeking a person with skillsets geared towards Metrology operations and tooling. An individual with experience troubleshooting and investigating aircraft issues utilizing these skills is desired.

Other actions include but are not limited to: assisting with a variety of non-conformances, designing and troubleshooting tooling, root cause / corrective action, and coordinating with design engineering. Position will also require working in an office environment maintaining build documentation such as Manufacturing Plans, Tooling Requirements Forms, and Corrective Action Plans.

Collaborate directly with the shop floor to resolve real-time build cycle issues.

Address non-conformance issues, design and troubleshoot tooling, and execute root cause/corrective actions.

Coordinate with engineering and other support groups to ensure timely issue resolution.

Maintain build documentation, including Manufacturing Plans, Tooling Requirements Forms, and Corrective Action Plans.

Identify and implement improvement opportunities, designing and developing creative solutions to optimize processes.

Partner with teams such as MRB, Production Control, Quality Engineering, and other manufacturing engineering groups.

Support overtime activities as needed to meet production goals.

Basic Qualifications

-Prior experience on F-35 or other military aircraft required

-Experience with metrology data, equipment, and tooling

-Knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques and principles as well as work measurements and labor standards

Desired Skills

Bachelor's degree, preferably in an Engineering, Manufacturing or other Technical fields

Demonstrated proficiency in our 3D modeling systems, such as VAS or CATIA

-Previous experience in aircraft structural repairs

-Familiarization with F-35 build sequence and co-producers

-Demonstrated interpersonal and collaboration skills required in a team environment

-Strong oral and written communication skills

-Demonstrated proficiency with MS office, Excel, PowerPoint, SFM, Product Data Manager (PDM) and other LM Aero systems

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $104900.00 - $194700.00

Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.

For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
