Hybrid 4 Days a week on-site in either Burbank, CA or Glendale, CA

Our client seeks a highly independent Senior Software Engineer to support shared services platforms and assume ownership of projects transitioned from a departing senior contractor. The role requires deep AWS expertise, strong TypeScript development skills, and the ability to operate with minimal oversight while supporting multiple engineering initiatives within a collaborative team environment.

Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Rate: $83.00 to $93.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain AWS cloud-based applications and services.

Support and enhance existing serverless solutions.

Own and drive development efforts across multiple projects.

Participate in daily standups and collaborate within a team of approximately 10 engineers.

Ensure adherence to coding standards, security requirements, and engineering best practices.

Evaluate and recommend new AWS technologies and solutions.

Provide technical guidance on architecture and development approaches.

Experience Requirements:

Extensive hands-on AWS experience.

Deep knowledge of AWS serverless technologies.

Strong TypeScript development background.

Experience with AWS security, networking, permissions, and infrastructure.

Strong software engineering fundamentals and code quality practices.

Proven ability to work autonomously and make sound technical decisions.

Preferred: experience supporting multiple projects, shared services or platform engineering, modern cloud-native design patterns, and mentoring.
