Standard Job Description
We are seeking a Software Engineer to join the Information Systems & Innovation (IS&I) organization who will be responsible for the development and support of fleet management, Interactive Electronic Technical Manual (IETM) and maintenance management software product lines, The successful candidate will work collaboratively with other development team members, the Manager of Software/Systems Architecture, US government and/or commercial customers and other stakeholders to execute web-based software product development.
Use of software development life cycle methods to develop, test and deploy specified software
Generating work products such as basic usage scenarios and sketches/models, proto@types, and pertinent architecture and design documentation
Executing development, integration, unit/integration test and deployment of software products/components independently and/or in cooperation with the software development team and stakeholders at large, providing technical direction to subcontractors when appropriate; supporting the development/test team and the customer in generating and executing a set of acceptance test requirements when needed
Assisting in data systems integrations and data synthesis if/as needed
Providing limited support to IT infrastructure on an as-needed basis, in coordination with production support and IT infrastructure personnel
Provide overarching technical leadership of software development effort
Keep pace with enabling technologies and provide input to technology insertion plans
Provide Software Technical duties for software reviews, produce schedule, agenda, meeting minutes, action items and resolution of action items
Leadership of software architecture and design reviews
Work with stakeholders to ensure compliance with all Lockheed Martin (LM) technical requirements
Work with stakeholders to align technical/business objectives with products
Work with internal Cyber Security staff to resolve technical issues
Prepare test plans, test descriptions, test cases
Submit weekly project status reports
Track, monitor and report on project status (technical, schedule) throughout the software development lifecycle
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related engineering discipline (or equivalent work experience)
Experience in leading small teams of developers
Demonstratable Project Management Skills
In depth knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle
MSOffice Proficiency (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Detail and team oriented
Clear, concise writing skills
Ability to effectively work with internal & external customers
Ability to work independently and with limited direction to accomplish project goals
At least five (7) years in any of the following technologies (or similar equivalents):
NET, C#, Angular, ASP.NET, HTML 5 / JavaScript and/or Web-based architectures
Familiarity with Web design
Familiarity with scrum and agile development methodologies
Familiarity with systems security engineering and cyber security principles
Familiarity with XML
Familiarity with web, mobile and database concepts
Familiarity with Amazon cloud deployments
Desired Skills
Familiarity Oracle, Postgres, SQLite, or MySQL databases
S1000D and Mil spec data knowledge
in-depth knowledge of IETM-@type software and XML/SGML scripting, as well as graphics formats (SVG, PNG)
Software UI/UX design
Technical writing/IETM user experience
API integration to external customer systems (ex. maintenance management systems or health and usage systems)
In depth of authentication protocols across different environments/operating systems (ex. LDAP, OIDC, OAuth?2, SAML, JWT)
In-depth experience architecting web applications across the full development lifecycle
Strong knowledge of web, desktop, cloud, and server architecture
Extensive experience with various operating systems, devices, and applications related to aircraft sustainment
Pay Information
GeoZone Definition: GeoZones are geographic groupings created by Lockheed Martin to align compensation ranges with regional labor markets and cost-of-labor differences across the United States. Locations are assigned a Geo Zone based on the primary work location of the role.
Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 1): $150800.00 - $280000.00
Includes metropolitan areas such as Sunnyvale CA; Pal Alto, CA; New York City metropolitan area; Newark, New Jersey; etc.
Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 2): $135700.00 - $251900.00
Includes metropolitan areas such as Denver, CO; King of Prussia, PA; Stratford, CT; Moorestown, NJ; etc.
Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 3): $120600.00 - $224000.00
Includes metropolitan areas such as Dallas-Fort Worth, TX; Orlando, FL; Grand Prairie, TX; Marietta, GA; etc.
Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 4): $108600.00 - $201600.00
Includes metropolitan areas such as Camden, AR; Lexington, KY; Lufkin, TX; etc.

For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
