This position supplies management with the analyses necessary for the effective management of the plant. Proactively identify risks and opportunities to management with proposed corrective actions to improve results. Identifies key areas of improvement, provides alternatives sources for cost savings to enhance the plant performance. Enforces the deadlines for end-of-month, trend, budget and three year plan reports

Job Duties:

Responsible for fixed asset reporting and tracking:

Work with multiple business partners to obtain project details and monitor expenditures against budget for construction in progress for domestic capital projects

Reconcile capital expenditures and construction in progress balances within the accounting system

Report monthly on status of capital projects in process

Work with business partners to ensure capital projects are capitalized at the appropriate time

Prepare monthly depreciation calculation

Implement process to assign asset tags to physical assets & periodically audit the assets

Partner with the business to properly account for fixed asset sales, disposals and write-offs

Prepare fixed asset documentation for tax and audit reporting

Assist in calculating deferred tax asset balances related to fixed assets

Prepare, communicate and ensure compliance with fixed asset policies

Implement internal controls to facilitate the accounting for fixed assets

Maintain fleet titles, licenses and registrations

Tracking and accounting for corporate inventory movements

Responsible for property tax accruals, payments, and related programs

Lead the process for tracking and reporting of information related to state financial incentive programs

Responsible for ensuring prepaid items are properly accounted for according to Company policy, including monthly amortization of balances

Reconcile account balances related to areas of responsibility

Identify and understand any fluctuations in account balances related to areas of responsibility

Responsible for US Census Bureau reporting for domestic entities

Finance contact for entering purchase requisitions

Continuously strive to streamline processes and implement process improvements

Generate ad hoc reports as requested

Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

General financial/accounting knowledge and ability to ensure fully functioning and accurate accounting processes.

General knowledge of accounting standards and procedures.

Ability to analyze complex and varied financial data and produce required financial reports.

Ability to input and access a variety of computer data, especially financial information.

Ability to research/compile/analyze and interpret data.

Knowledge of organizational methods and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks/projects simultaneously.

Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality related to all duties and responsibilities.

Ability to apply complex accounting formulas and/or perform complex mathematical calculations.

Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

Ability to organize large amounts of data in a manner that is easy for others to understand.

Ability to work with other related projects as requested by management. Strong interpersonal and people management skills to supervise and review work of team members;

Able to successfully interact with business colleagues;

Independent problem-solving, thorough analytical skills; self-motivated, self-directed;

Excellent organizational skills, ability to successfully handle multiple concurrent tasks;

Job Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required

CPA designation a plus

Strong Excel skills required

3 - 5 years accounting experience required in a manufacturing environment preferred;

FAS (Fixed Asset Software) experience desired

Experience designing and running queries desired
