We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused, contract Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist to be 100% onsite in San Francisco. This is an exciting opportunity for a finance professional who enjoys problem-solving, building relationships, and contributing to the financial health of an organization.

What You'll Do

As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you'll play a critical role in supporting the organization's financial operations by:

Generating and processing customer invoices accurately and on time.

Monitoring customer accounts and following up on outstanding balances.

Managing collection activities while maintaining positive customer relationships.

Applying customer payments and reconciling account discrepancies.

Investigating and resolving billing issues, payment disputes, and account variances.

Maintaining accurate customer account records and supporting documentation.

Preparing aging reports and providing updates on collection activities and trends.

Collaborating with Sales, Customer Service, and Finance teams to resolve customer concerns.

Assisting with month-end close activities, account reconciliations, and reporting.

Identifying opportunities to improve processes, increase efficiency, and enhance the customer payment experience.

Supporting audits and special projects as needed.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

3+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable, Billing, Collections, or a related accounting role.

Strong understanding of accounts receivable processes and accounting principles.

Experience performing account reconciliations and financial reporting support.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.

Experience working with ERP systems and accounting software such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Workday, or similar systems.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Strong organizational skills with an exceptional attention to detail.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
